Skip Sizes
Our skips come in 6 different sizes; 3-yard skip, 4-yard skip, 5-yard skip, 6-yard skip, 7-yard skip or an 8-yard skip. You can use the image for an approximate size guide, however we appreciate it may be hard to estimate the correct size of skip for your needs. 3-yard skip:
Capacity: Approximately 20-30 bin bags or 3 cubic yards of waste.
Suitable for: Small household projects, such as garden or garage clearances, or small renovations.
What can fit: Lighter waste such as garden waste, soil, rubble, small furniture items, and small amounts of general household waste.
4-yard skip:
Capacity: Around 30-40 bin bags or 4 cubic yards of waste.
Suitable for: Small to medium-sized projects, including bathroom or kitchen refits, or small building projects.
What can fit: Similar to the 3-yard skip but with slightly more capacity, suitable for additional small furniture items, old appliances, and slightly larger amounts of waste.
5-yard skip:
Capacity: Roughly 40-50 bin bags or 5 cubic yards of waste.
Suitable for: Medium-sized projects like refurbishments or garden landscaping.
What can fit: Ideal for disposing of larger items like kitchen units, doors, windows, garden waste, soil, and other household waste.
6-yard skip:
Capacity: Approximately 50-60 bin bags or 6 cubic yards of waste.
Suitable for: Larger domestic projects or small commercial jobs.
What can fit: A wide range of waste including furniture, garden waste, construction waste, and other general rubbish from larger home renovations or clearances.
7-yard skip:
Capacity: Around 60-80 bin bags or 7 cubic yards of waste.
Suitable for: Larger projects including shop or office clearances, or larger home renovations.
What can fit: Suitable for bulky items like furniture, larger quantities of construction waste, garden waste, and other general rubbish.
8-yard skip:
Capacity: Approximately 70-90 bin bags or 8 cubic yards of waste.
Suitable for: Major construction or commercial projects, or large-scale home renovations.
What can fit: Ideal for bulky waste such as large furniture, significant quantities of construction waste, garden waste, and general household rubbish. This size skip is often used for larger-scale projects due to its substantial capacity.
