These are some items not permitted in the skip
- Vehicle or plant tyres
- Car batteries
- Asbestos
- Gas bottles or fire extinguishers
- Tins of paint (empty or full), or hazardous liquids such as oils or creosote
- Tree trunks or tree roots
- Railway sleepers
- Telegraph poles
- Fluorescent tubes
Some items are not permitted within the skip hire, and can not go in the skip for environmental reasons such as contamination or heath implications to humans or animals, others are due to to the recycling process. It may be that the recycling process is not suitable in the nearby area for the items you wish to dispose of. Either way we may be able to advise you of the best way to dispose of non permitted items

- Fridges
- Freezers
- TV’s and computer monitors
- Air conditioning units or wine chillers
- POP’s – Any upholstered item containing fire retardant foam. Usually in the way of domestic seating such as: sofas, arm chairs, office chairs, dining room chairs with upholstered seats, outside furniture cushions and bed headboards etc.
Although we strive to keep the cost of our skip hire down for our customers there is an ever growing list of items which can now be recycled further. This is great for the environment and recycling but does unfortunately result in higher cost due to the machinery and processes involved. Should you have any of the additional charging items we will be happy to advise of other ways to dispose of them which may be more suitable for you.
